93 Westminster Rd Structure Fire Canterbury

February 24, 2008
At 1204 QV Dispatch put out the structure fire assignment for Canterbury bringing; Scotland, Central Village, Moosup FAST and the Plainfield Tanker as mutual aid. As units were signing on QV advised they were receiving multiple calls reporting a working garage fire attached to the house. E-193 arrived minutes later to find the same, a 2 car garage attached to 1 1/2 story wood-frame ranch with the garage well off. Car-93(Kasacek) established the "Canterbury Command" as the crew from E-193 stretched a line into the house, keeping the fire to just the garage with little to no extension into the living area. All mutual aid companies worked well together and units held the scene for some extensive overhaul. Command was terminated around 1430. * Thanks to Beth LaFontaine for the pictures*
