Metal Scrap Yard Fire City of Willimantic

The City of Willimantic responded for this scrap yard fire in the area of Milk St. The fire had a pretty good head start upon the arrival of Engine 201 and master stream operations went into effect. The pictures are roughly 1 hr 15 min. into the fire.





568 West Thames St Structure Fire EGPFD

February 07,2007 At 0528 hours the East Great Plain Fire Dept. was dispatched to a structure fire at 568 West Thames St. Upon the arrival of car 5 the front of the structure was well involved and a second alarm was transmitted bringing; Mohegan Tribe FAST, Mohegan Fire Co., City Of Norwich Squad A and Engine 3, along with the canteen. I was told 2 residents were transported, 1 to Bridgeport and 1 to Backus. The structure is completely destroyed.

Structure Fire 62 Wauregan Rd Canterbury

January 20,2007
Canterbury and Mortlake responded at 2316 to 62 Wauregan Rd for a structure fire. Upon the arrival of Chief 93, the fire was thru the roof. 2, 1.75 handlines were placed into service as a second alarm was transmitted, bringing; Plainfield, Atwood Hose, and the Moosup FAST. Additional water was requested adding; Lisbon, Central Village, Scotland and other area departments. The fire was quickly brought under control, and the last Canterbury unit cleared around 0245





84 Talman St Structure Fire City Of Norwich

January 23,2007
The City Of Norwich responded to 84 Talman St for the reported structural fire. Upon the arrival of the first due company, heavy smoke was emitting from structure. Companies put numerous handlines into service, and started to enter the structure. A mayday was transmitted after a firefighter fell into the basement from the first floor, an evacuation was ordered, and a search for the missing firefighter began. He was located quickly and removed from the building. The Cape Verdean, was a total loss.
